Issu de l’univers free-party, AKousMaTT se prend de passion pour la création de boucles et la MAO en 2008, après son arrivée sur Lyon.

Il rejoint rapidement le sound-system PPGC (Petits Potards et Gros Caissons), avec lequel il organise de nombreux événements en Rhône-Alpes entre 2009 et 2016, dont de mémorables teufs et deux éditions du Ohmway Festival. Deux morceaux sont pressés sur vinyle chez Mackitek et Enigmatik Records, suivis par de multiples sorties digitales sur différents labels, et on le retrouve en live sur de nombreuses fêtes dans toute dans la partie Est du pays, performant souvent en duo avec Arko’nik.

En 2018, il rejoint le crew lyonnais Acid Night, et commence à propager ses ondes à travers toute la France et une partie de l'Europe. Un total de bientôt 200 dates, incluant des lieux et évènements emblématiques comme le Kili Club et la FuckParade (Berlin), le Zoo - l’Usine (Genève), SpaZio 211 (Turin), Le Fil et Le Clapier (Saint-Etienne), Ninkasi Kao, Le Petit Salon, CCO La Rayonne (Lyon), Le Mas (Nîmes), LaPéniche (Chalon s/Saône)...

Initialement inspiré par la Tribe Mental et l'Acid UK, la découverte de l'Acidcore en 2011, et la qualité de production imposée par les pionniers du style (Mr Gasmask, Vikkei, Acidolido, Tommers, Sevenum Six...) achèvent de le faire basculer vers des sonorités plus atmosphériques, sombres et travaillées. Quelques années plus tard, il parvient à mettre la main sur une véritable TB303 d’époque modifiée, et hybride son setup à l’aide d’autres machines hardware et effets en rack, ce qui l’amène à définir ‘’son’’ son de manière plus personnelle encore.

Autant dans son élément sur scène que face à un mur de caissons, ses lives infusent des influences organiques et électriques dans la mécanique Tekno, l’écho de la 303 agissant comme un fil narratif aux couleurs inattendues. Sous l’apparente sensibilité des mélodies, se diffuse une tension cathartique aux reflets Punk, IDM ou Drum’N’Bass, à même de surprendre le dancefloor pour mieux le déchaîner.

Coming from the free-party world, AKousMaTT developed a passion for creating loops and computer music in 2008, after arriving in Lyon.
He quickly joined the PPGC sound system (Petits Potards et Gros Caissons), with which he organized numerous events in Rhône-Alpes between 2009 and 2016, including memorable parties and two editions of the Ohmway Festival. Two tracks are pressed on vinyl by Mackitek and Enigmatik Records, followed by multiple digital releases on different labels, and he can be found live at many parties throughout the eastern part of the country, often performing as a duo with Arko'nik.

Initially inspired by Mental Tribe and UK Acid Techno, the discovery of Acidcore in 2011, and the production quality imposed by the pioneers of the style (Mr Gasmask, Vikkei, Acidolido, Tommers, Sevenum Six...) made him shift towards more atmospheric, dark and elaborated sounds. A few years later, he managed to get his hands on a real vintage TB303 with mods, and hybridized his setup using other hardware machines and rack effects, which led him to define "his" sound in an even more personal way.
Forever impregnated by the music of Aphex Twin, Massive Attack or even Ez3kiel, his universe continues to expand, mutate and stand out, as evidenced by his remixes and numerous collaborations with multiple horizons (Krav Boca, Malade [s], T.I.N.A., Tapis Volcan, Roman Dufief...)

As much in his element on stage as in front of a wall of boxes, his liveset infuse organic and electrical influences into the Tekno mechanics, the echo of the 303 acting as a narrative thread with unexpected colors. Beneath the apparent sensitivity of the melodies, a cathartic tension with Punk, IDM or Drum'N'Bass reflections diffuses, capable of surprising the dancefloor to better unleash it.
